Registration Conditions

Definitions

1.1 In these terms and conditions, the following terms have the following meanings:

 

“Visitor” Any person who is registered to attend the Canada Gas & LNG Exhibition and Conference (CGLNG) from 12 – 14 May  2020,  “Conference” The Canada Gas & LNG Exhibition and Conference, Vancouver, Canada 12 – 14 May 2020.

 

“Organisers” dmg :: events (UK) ltd.

 

“Company” The employer of the Visitor as named on the booking form.

Law and Jurisdiction

2.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any disputes resulting from an interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be settled by the English courts.

 

Applications to attend as a visitor

3.1 Applications to attend an Event must be made via CGLNG 2020 online delegate registration page or the Organisers’ official visitor registration form, which must be completed in full. The Organisers may accept on site applications with a business card or ID on the understanding that these terms and conditions must be signed. No alterations to these terms and conditions can be accepted without the written consent of the Organisers.  The Organisers may, in their absolute discretion, decline to accept any application for attendance or registration.

 

3.2 The organisers are not responsible for the issue and assistance with visa invitation letters. It is the responsibility of visitors to confirm their own attendance arrangements at the exhibition.

 

Cost

4.1 The Conference will include all the facilities more specifically set out in the Contract.

 

4.2 The visitor will pay the venue directly during the Event for all goods and services not included in the visitor package.

 

4.3 The Visitor accepts that travel and hotel accommodation must be paid for independently or by his or her company. The Organisers will not accept invoices or charges relating to Visitors travel and accommodation, or visa applications.

 

Withdrawal or Cancellation by the Visitor

5.1 Any notification of withdrawal or cancellation by the Visitor must be in writing and sent to the Organisers with proof of delivery. Cancellation will be deemed to have occurred when written notification has been received by the Organisers.

 

Prohibition of Transfer

6.1 The Visitor may not transfer the booking from one named Visitor to another without the prior written consent of the Organisers. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse passage and attendance to the Event to a replacement individual who is not the named Visitor where consent has not been given in accordance with the provisions of this clause.

 

Postponement, abandonment or speaker cancellation

7.1 The Visitor shall not have any claim against the Organisers in respect of any loss or damage by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of its obligations in relation to this agreement including the holding any part of the Event or of the venue at which the Event is scheduled to take place becoming wholly or partially unavailable for the holding of the Event, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, acts of God, explosions, floods, fire or accident, war or threat of war, sabotage, civil disturbance, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority, import or export regulations or embargoes or industrial actions or trade disputes (whether involving employees of either party or of a third party). If by rearrangement or postponement of the period of the Event, or by substitution of another venue for the holding of the Event, or any other reasonable manner, the Event can take place, the contract between the Organisers and the Visitor shall remain in force.

 

7.2 If the Organisers have to alter the content or timing of the Conference or the identity of any speakers, for any reason whatsoever, the organisers are not liable to refund any fees or pay for additional costs incurred by Visitors attending CGLNG 2020.

 

Liability, Loss and Insurance

8.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organisers are not responsible for the safety of any property of the Visitor, or for its loss, damage or destruction for any reason whatsoever.

 

8.2 Nothing in this agreement shall operate to exclude or restrict either party’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence; fraud, deceit, unlawful intent or gross negligence;

 

8.3 No responsibility can be accepted by the Organisers for any consequences arising from postponement or abandonment of the Event or from any consequential, incidental, indirect, special or punitive damage, loss or expenses (including but not limited to business interruption, loss of business, loss of customers, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of anticipated profits or loss of savings) even if it has been advised of their possible existence. The Visitor should take out its own insurance to cover all liabilities and risks as well as non-attendance by the Visitor for whatever reason.

 

Fire Precautions

9.1 The Visitor must comply with any reasonable instructions both written (via signage) and verbal (via announcements) given by the venue and the Organiser or any other authority regarding fire precautions.

 

Information and Copyright

10.1 Information supplied by the Organisers in relation to any event is accurate to the best of their knowledge and belief but shall not constitute any warranty or representation by the Organisers and any inaccuracy or mistake in such information or omission from it shall not entitle the Visitor to cancel its booking.

 

10.2 Unless stated otherwise, all information and data relating to the Event, as between the Organiser and the Visitor, is provided under a non-exclusive limited licence for use by that Visitor only for the purposes of CGLNG 2020, is and shall remain the intellectual property of the Organisers and cannot be passed on to any third party for any purpose.

 

Exclusion

11.1 The Organisers reserve the right to exclude or remove from the Event any person whose presence, in the opinion of the Organisers, is or is likely to be undesirable or may put the safety and wellbeing of the other Visitors or staff at risk.

 

11.2 The Organiser may require any Exhibitor/Sponsor/Delegate or any visitor to submit to appropriate trade sanctions verification checks prior to permitting attendance or registration. The Organiser may withdraw permission for any person or entity to attend at any time in its absolute discretion for trade sanctions reasons and in such circumstances, the Organiser shall not issue any refund of fees already paid

 

Data Protection

12.1 The Company acknowledges that the Organisers will be entitled to use the Visitor details in accordance with the Organisers’ privacy policy. Details of this are available on request or at https://canadagaslng.com/
