Steve has developed Independent Power Projects in B.C for 25 years as a developer, an industry advocate and a consultant. Steve ran the project development subsidiaries for FortisBC and Ledcor and was Business Development Manager for ENGIE. He led projects fueled by biomass, hydro, wind, and gas totaling over $200 million. Steve is a Director of the Clean Energy Association of B.C. He was President for 9 years. For most of the last 15 years Steve has been a consultant. His current focus is on electrifying natural gas production facilities, including; pipeline compressor stations, processing plants and drill rigs, forecasting their electrical loads and GHG reductions, and facilitating their transmissions interconnections and extensions. He has also analyzed the feasibility of combining their CO2 emissions with renewable hydrogen to produce renewable methane and/or methanol. Steve has a Civil Engineering degree from UBC and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
