The Canada Gas & LNG 2027 Governing Body invites abstract submissions from operators, regulators, Indigenous leadership, financiers, technology providers and academic researchers. We are programming for specificity.
What we are looking for
Project updates and lessons learned
LNG Canada Phase 1 ramp and Phase 2 sanctioning, Cedar LNG
construction, Woodfibre, Ksi Lisims, Tilbury and Atlantic-coast hydrogen and ammonia projects.
Buyer perspectives
Long-term offtake economics from Asian, European and emerging-market buyers,
and the contracting structures they need from Canadian suppliers.
Indigenous-led project development
equity, governance, benefits frameworks and the capacitybuilding
infrastructure behind them.
Hydrogen, ammonia and CCUS
Moving from MOU to FID, infrastructure corridor planning, and the
offtake conversation with Germany, Japan and Korea.
Decarbonising the molecule
Methane MRV, electrified liquefaction, low-carbon hydrogen pathways,
certified gas and the buyer’s willingness to pay.
Policy and capital
Major Projects Office throughput, ITC implementation, federal–provincial
coordination, and the financing structures unlocking the next wave of FIDs.
Marine logistics and bunkering
LNG and methanol bunker readiness in BC and Atlantic Canada, dualfuel propulsion, port infrastructure and Arctic and coastal shipping.
Submission criteria
• Abstracts of 250–400 words, in English.
• Speaker biography (max. 150 words) and high-resolution headshot.
• Format preference: keynote, panel contribution, on-stage interview, or technical theatre presentation.
• Clear statement of what is new or decision-relevant about the proposed content.
• Conflicts of interest and commercial relationships disclosed.
