Sarah Smith leads FortisBC Energy Inc.’s Low Carbon Transportation team, reducing GHG and air emissions from the medium and heavy duty vehicle, marine, mining and rail sectors, as well as leading growth in Fortis’s LNG business. She has been with FortisBC since 2006. Previous to taking on her current portfolio, she was the Director of Conservation and Energy Management for Fortis, growing this portfolio ten fold, and she was the Director responsible for renewable gas supply at Fortis, growing that portfolio one hundred fold. Sarah has been a nominee for the YWCA’s Women of Distinction program, and in 2021 and 2023 was selected as a member of the Business in Vancouver BC 500. Sarah has been in her current portfolios since 2016, and holds a Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management from the Sauder School of Business at UBC.
