A successful first day in Vancouver! - HIGHLIGHTS DAY 1
The Canada Gas & LNG Exhibition and Conference opened yesterday in Vancouver, Canada to celebrate it's 7th year in the industry. Day 1 welcomed thousands of industry professionals who turned out to hear from speakers, meet exhibitors and network with the great and good of the global gas and LNG industry.
The Opening Ceremony saw a welcome address from dmg events Event Director, Richard Mackintosh who welcomed government, industry and First Nations, followed by the First Nations Blessings.
“This country can lead globally by developing the cleanest LNG in the world and ultimately helping developing economies in Asia move away from oil and coal. This is an exciting time for LNG in Canada.”
The opening day discussions brought together influential leaders including Bryan Cox, Lori Ackerman, Mark Podlasly, Phil Germuth and Susannah Pierce, who addressed the challenges and opportunities in aligning First Nations interests. Sarah Smith - Director of NGT, Regional LNG & RNG spoke about the advancements and developments in natural gas for transportation.
